I'm a multidisciplinary artist based in Fremantle. I work across the mediums of painting, sculpture, video and installation. I undertook a residency at PICA in late 2017 the result of which was a new-found desire to produce large scale, participatory installations.

I recently had a solo show at Smart Casual (Fremantle, WA) where I turned the gallery into a oversized disabled toilet constructed from papier máche. I am about to produce an installation at Testing Grounds funded by a City of Melbourne Arts Grant. For this work, participants wheel a wheelchair down a long, neon lit corridor that narrows imperceptibly. The walls and ceiling close in until the realisation dawns that their wheelchair won’t fit through the exit.

My new works are inspired by the navigational challenges I face as a wheelchair user and the under-representation of disabled people in popular culture.

  • Fremantle Arts Center Artist in Residence 2019
