Connecting Creatives: an accessible, virtual networking event for creatives

AAA’s first Connecting Creatives event will feature special guest Abbie Madden, Founder and Artistic Director of inclusive dance company Blindful and recipient of Arts Access Australia’s National Leadership Award 2020. Following a chat with Abbie, participants will be divided into smaller breakout rooms where they can introduce themselves and network with other participants.

This 90-minute networking event will be held online via Zoom and will include live-captioning and Auslan-interpretation. Participants will also be encouraged to describe themselves for people who are blind or have low vision.

Program details (2-3.30pm AEST Sydney Time)

• Welcome and Acknowledgement of Country
• In conversation with Abbie Madden, followed by a Q&A
• Introduction to break-out rooms and the networking session
• Networking Session 1, followed by a short break
• Networking Session 2, followed by a short break
• Networking Session 3, followed by a short break
• Debrief and closing in the main Zoom room

Participants can also elect to be included on AAA’s ‘Connecting Creatives’ Networking Register, which will include information and links to their art, arts organisation and/or social media profiles as well as their name, email and location.

You will be asked if you would like to join the Register when you purchase a ticket.

The Connecting Creatives networking events are free for Members of Arts Access Australia. Individual Members can register for one free ticket, and Organisational Members can register for five free tickets.
