New CEO Leadership Group May 2017
Early this year CEO’s and representatives from Arts Access Australia’s original member organisations gathered together in Adelaide for a Strategic Partnership Forum.
The forum was hosted by Access2Arts and aimed to explore how the states can work together to build a stronger arts and disability sector in Australia.
There are seven original member organisations of Arts Access Australia (AAA), they include: DADAA (WA), Access2Arts (SA), InCite Arts (NT), Access Arts (QLD), Darwin Community Arts (NT), Arts Access Victoria and Accessible Arts (NSW). They are called the original members because they helped to establish AAA, and play an important leadership and governance role in the organisation.
Valuable information was gathered from the forum and will be used to shape AAA’s strategic focus and collaborative working relationships between the states moving forward. The group has made a commitment to meet again in November 2017, and will continue to meet twice yearly.
Sam Taylor from Glashaus facilitated the forum, and when asked for feedback participants expressed an 80-100% satisfaction rate. Arts Access Australia would like to thank Sam and the original members for investing time and resources into this important event.
