COVID-19 update: National Arts and Disability Awards Suspended

The Australia Council for the Arts has announced its first response package to support artists, arts practitioners, arts groups and arts organisations coping with the impact of COVID-19.
With immediate effect, they have suspended many of their investment programs currently or due to open, including the National Arts and Disability Awards and the Arts and Disability Mentoring Initiative.
Arts Access Australia is very conscious of the need to find funding to support the arts at this difficult time, however, we are concerned by the decision to suspend these programs, as it reduces much needed opportunity and visibility for artists with disability.
We are committed to working with the Australia Council to have these programs reinstated as soon as possible, and to ensure new initiatives prioritise access and inclusion for artists with disability.
