Writing Place

Writing Place was launched in 2020 as part of Meeting Place, our annual, disability-led, arts and accessibility forum.
The initiative began with an online magazine, designed to showcase the work of Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent writers and poets. Two editions of the online magazine Writing Place have been published to date.
In 2022, in addition to the magazine, we will be providing writing mentorships to eight successful applicants. These mentorships are funded by the Australian Government, via their arts and funding advisory body, the Australian Council for the Arts.
You can view past editions of Writing Place magazine here. Submissions for the 2022 online magazine will open later this month.
